History

April
1923
Established Tsujihana Works in the City of Osaka for purposes of manufacturing and selling woodworking products (such as cash registers) and metal working products (such as bicycle locking mechanisms).
April
1951
Started manufacturing architectural hardware (such as door hinges) that were in high demand for reconstruction activities right after the World War II with metal pressing as the main business.
April
1952
Started business with a major home electrical appliance manufacturer, and entered into precision metal pressing business.
May
1953
Reorganized Tsujihana Works to establish Nissei Industry Corporation.
Started full operation of precision pressing business for home electrical appliances.
April
1968
Built the Hiroshima Plant in Saijo-cho, Kamo-gun (currently Hiroshima-shi), Hiroshima-ken. Started manufacturing and mechanism assembly of precision press products for radio-cassette recorders.
August
1973
Started manufacturing precision molds at the main plant.
Introduced precision injection mold machines. Started manufacturing precision mold components for radio-cassette recorders and precision mold components for copy machines.
February
1978
Established Hiroshima Nissei Corporation at the Kamo Industrial Park in Kamo-gun (currently Hiroshima-shi), Hiroshima-ken.
March
1979
Successfully developed world’s first photosensitive drum units for copy machines based on aluminum plate curling method in collaboration with a major home appliance manufacturer.
December
1981
Jointly established Nara Nissei Corporation in Shiki-gun, Nara-ken. Started manufacturing electronic typewriter mechanism units, and expanded it into manufacturing units for ink-jet printers and thermal copy printers
May
1982
Established Kure Nissei Corporation in Kure-shi, Hiroshima-ken. Started manufacturing complete double-sided record players.Started compete home fax machines.
April
1987
Established Sunny Precision (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. in Singapore which was the first overseas manufacturing subsidiary in the Nissei Group.
Started off-shore manufacturing of precision mechanism mold components and press components for radio cassette recorders and CD pickups.
January
1988
Established Sunny Precision (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia. Started manufacturing precision press components and mold components and unit products for radio cassette recorders and portable audio equipment for a major Japanese home appliance manufacturer in Malaysia.

Established Sunny Precision Thailand Co., Ltd. in Thailand. Started manufacturing precision components products for home electrical appliances and printers for a major Japanese home appliance manufacturer in Thailand.

1989
Built Nissei Denki Industry Hiroshima Plant in Kure-shi, Hiroshima-ken.
Started manufacturing ultra-precision engineering plastic gears.

1992
Established Nissei Technology (HK) Ltd. in Hong Kong.

1993
Obtained ISO9002 for the Hiroshima Plant for the first time in the mold industry.

1995
Established Nissei Precision Thailand Co., Ltd. in Thailand. Started manufacturing mechanism units for automobile audio equipment.

1995
Successfully developed precision plastic lens using Nissei Technology’s proprietary technologies. Adopted as CD pickup lenses by a major home appliance manufacturer.

1996
Built a raw material processing plant in Dongguan, China. Started manufacturing precision mechanism components for laser printers and optical pickup units for CD players.
October
1996
Established Institute of Precision Moulds upon request by the Government of Penang, Malaysia. Accepting employees from local companies including companies on foreign capital to contribute to proliferation of precision mold technologies.
June
1997
Started manufacturing precision plastic lenses at Sunny Precision (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
January
2001
Obtained ISO14001 for the Hiroshima Plant.
January
2006
Established Nissei Technology (Vietnam) Ltd. in Vietnam. Started manufacturing precision mold components for laser printers.
March
2009
Started manufacturing precision molds at Nissei Technology (Vietnam) Ltd.
Enhanced precision injection mold division to expanded businesses into automotive and medical fields.
April
2009
Relocated the Hiroshima Plant and Osaka Headquarters to Kobe-shi, Hyogo-ken.
Significantly enhanced plastic lens mold manufacturing equipment and measurement and evaluation instruments.
May
2012
Successfully developed, and subsequently started to manufacture, LED flash lenses incorporating proprietary technologies of Nissei Technology in collaboration with a major overseas LED manufacturer for a major smartphone manufacturer.
January
2014
Built a second plant to manufacturer precision plastic lenses for Nissei Technology (Vietnam) Ltd., and started manufacturing EVF units for digital cameras, DVD pickup lenses, and others.
July
2014
Established Nissei Technology Singapore Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.
March
2015
Developed, and subsequently started to manufacture, optical sensing devices for home blood testing equipment in collaboration with a major Japanese medical equipment manufacturer.
January
2016
Lens units for special optics of Nissei Technology’s own design have been adopted to 360-degree omnidirectional cameras, and started to manufacture them. Entered into the action camera market.
January
2017
Successfully developed new mass-production methods for plastic lenses compatible with reflow soldering in collaboration with a major chemical manufacturer. Started mass-production for a major smartphone manufacturer.
February
2017
Obtained automobile industry quality management standard ISO/TS 16949 (currently IATF 16949) for three overseas plants.
November
2017
Relocated manufacturing of precision plastic lens mold technologies to Nissei Technology (Vietnam) Ltd. and started manufacturing.
Established integrated system from mold production to molding and assembling for both precision plastic molding and precision lens molding divisions.
